Bedver Irving, has been appointed the Vice President for 2010 of the Kwazulu-Natal Law Society.

“Bedver has been a member of Woodhead Bigby & Irving Inc since 1972, when he joined the firm as a candidate attorney. He became senior partner in 1987, and managing director upon incorporation on 1 May 2000. During May 2007, he was also admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales.

Bedver’s primary areas of expertise are in the commercial arena involving international contracts, insurance law, specialized High Court litigation, Ports Authority and Ports Authority law and practice management.

He has served the legal profession in South Africa in numerous ways. His outside interests are fishing (in respect of which he has obtained a number of accolades), the outdoors and the Anglo Boer wars. He is a keen conservationist and served as a Trustee of the South African Game Fishing Association. He is married to Juliet and they have three children, who all live and work in the United Kingdom.”
