Excellence and commitment improve our economic well being and quality of life. In addition to our stated beliefs, there are certain principles which the company considers fundamental to its practices, as follows: 
• Firstly, the company is fully committed to the ethics of the legal profession. In a changing society, there is a tendency to discard what may be perceived to be outdated precepts of integrity and morality in favour of more commercially convenient standards. The directors do not believe that integrity and morality can be cast aside in favour of these convenient standards.
• Secondly, the company's goal is to provide a legal service of the highest quality at an acceptable cost to its clients and a reasonable return to the directors.
• It is accepted that this implies open and honest discussion in respect of our charges, and we welcome the opportunity to enter into such discussions in this spirit whenever the occasion so demands. The company also performs a certain amount of its legal services as pro bono work as a service to the community.
• Thirdly, the company has for decades been committed to a multi-racial, free society in South Africa. The directors work actively towards this end. They believe that the company will continue to make its necessary contribution to the vital changes which are occurring at this time in South Africa and especially in the legal profession.
• Fourthly, the company remains current with computer programmes and continually updates its systems to ensure compliance with modern international standards.
